Established in 2008 by Douglas Wadham, Trotters Traders is one of the most successful independent discount traders in the Lincolnshire area.
Dougie, born and raised in Grimsby, ran an âEverything 50pâ stall on his local market at just twenty-one years of age. His father would help with sales by cycling on his pushbike with carrier bags full of stock items to sell to the factory staff where he worked. It was from these humble beginnings that Dougie learned his trade.
As a fan of the famous BBC sitcom âOnly Fools and Horses,â Dougie felt an affinity with Derek âDel Boyâ Trotter, which became the inspiration behind the name of his business. Dougie opened the first bricks-and-mortar Trotters Traders discount store on Wilton Road in Humberston in June 2008.
Now with four popular retail locations in Grimsby, Louth, Mablethorpe, and Scunthorpe, Trotters Traders are open seven days a week to both the public and trade customers.
